Disputes

The Creditadvice Credit Report is an important report that will influence the availability of credit, therefore it is very important that the information recorded is accurate.

The Creditadvice Credit Report only contains the information it receives from banks, credit unions or other credit providers.

The Data Subject has a right to know what information related to them is submitted to Creditadvice.  If any information is inaccurate, erroneous or outdated, notify Creditadvice of the details.

When a dispute is officially reported, Creditadvice shall:

  • Add a note in the system on specific items which are subject to dispute, until such time the dispute is resolved.
  • Report the dispute to the Credit Information Provider for investigation and correction of information reported where necessary.
  • Notify the Data Subject of the outcome of the disputed credit information within 10 business days from date of receipt of the dispute.
